Novartis Campus WSJ-386 ONC

Installation of flexible and contemporary laboratory, office and communication zones in buildings on the edge of the Novartis Campus.

Blaser Butscher Architects planned and implemented the ONC in building WSJ-386 on the edge of the Novartis Campus as architects and general planners.

The demanding planning and the complex realization in stages took five years. The realization took place in sub-projects with different users and in operation. The program included offices and laboratories as well as public communication rooms. It was a very challenging planning task, from planning, quality standards and costs to security, deadlines and technology.

The integration of new bright, flexible and contemporary laboratory, office and communication zones required new ideas and innovations. The five large basement floors were adapted to the building services and required the planning of the highest hygiene standards. The first floor and the six upper floors contain laboratories, offices, student workstations and social rooms.

The floors were converted from the 5th basement to the 6th floor, the 13th floor and the technical floors 15 and 16.
