Conversion of the entire property in Basel's shopping mile with a new usage classification of the building.
The residential and commercial building is located at an attractive location on Freie Strasse 51, in the main shopping area of Basel, where international labels and exquisite boutiques line up. In the course of the reconstruction of the entire property, a new utilization division of the the house, which responds to the changing retail and residential market, was offered.
The lower three floors are to remain to the retail market and were rented from the fashion chain by Massimo Dutti. In the three top floors, six high level residential apartments were built. The apartments are characterized by open floor plans with spacious dining and living areas. The two apartments on the upper floors, oriented towards the court and the Münsterplatz, were built as duplex apartments. The upper floor, which is located under the sloping roof, is connected by a gallery with the bright living rooms below. All apartments fit into the existing building fabric individually and have become a jewel in the urban environment. A generous roof terrace, accessible to the whole house, underlines the attractive residential location in the middle of the historic downtown area.
