Conversion of existing cellular offices into an open multi-space landscape for the chemical company Huntsman.
The commercial building from the 30's and 60's with individual offices and laboratories was rebuilt on the fifth floor for the American chemical company Huntsman. More precisely, the existing office structure was opened and modernized. Most of the existing cellular offices were converted into multi-space offices for the 125 employees of the Advanced Materials division at the Basel site.
In addition to the new multi-Space, cafeteria, tea kitchens and lounge areas were also newly constructed. The main focus of the conversion was to expose the inner, previously installed zones to natural light. The result was a spacious, bright working landscape, which was ready for occupation by the Huntsman company after a six-month construction period.
