Installation of a COS branch on the ground and upper floor of the former Musik Hug building.
On 15 June, the Swedish fashion group H&M opened a branch of its premium label COS in Basel, making it the fifth store of the 'Collection of Style' in Switzerland.
The sales area in the former Musik Hug building on Freie Strasse is around 600 m2 and is divided between the ground and first floors. A representative staircase connects the two open floors, which are only zoned by the presentation of goods. Architecturally, great attention was paid to the completely redesigned façade on the ground floor. The shop windows, which are based on the historical structure, were enlarged to improve the view and lighting of the shop. The building and its surroundings are significantly enhanced by the new stone façade.
We began the dismantling, renovation and upgrading measures in September 2017, and the shop extension took place from March 2018.
